Dads can be pretty embarrassing, especially when you’re young. Okay, honestly that's kind of an understatement, and "dad joke" culture is a perfect example of that. They’ll do anything to try and get closer to you, even if it means trolling you all over social media, which is exactly the approach that Cassie Martin’s father Chis “Burr” Martin took. In response to his daughter’s “sexy photos,” Burr decided to hilariously recreate his daughter’s selfies himself and then post them to social media, causing the internet to go wild. This must have warranted an awkward conversation afterwards...
Comedian. Chris “Burr” Martin is a comedian and father who loves to play pranks on his teenage son and daughter and because of this, has gained a decent following all over the internet. Be glad he's not your dad, as you'd be subject to a very public roasting on social media a few times a year.

Attention. Burr started gaining attention after his daughter posted a photo on Twitter of her father recreating one of her photos, claiming that her father harasses her on the internet. The internet loved it however, and from then on Burr became known as “selfie dad” and continues to remake his daughters selfies to this day.

Selfies. ”So my daughter has been posting sexy selfies of herself and instead of telling her to stop, well, I thought of something better,” wrote Burr on Instagram. So he started copying Cassie’s exact look, making sure to include every single detail including her tattoos and hair styles. Using a marker, Burr draws Cassie’s tattoos on himself and for one photo even put on eyeliner to mimic his daughter’s makeup.
Following. But Cassie isn’t the only one getting trolled by her father. He also recreates his son’s selfies, which aren’t as impressive as Cassie’s. Burr and Cassie have gained a huge following since they first got popular over the summer, and Burr has even amassed a much larger following than Cassie has.

Funny. “It’s been pretty funny. A few have called me a jerk, but I don't think they get it. We've kind of always made fun of each other in our family,” he told US Weekly.

Humor. Surprisingly, Cassie has managed to be a good sport about the entire thing saying she’s used to her father’s humor anyways. Cassie says that kids her age have even reached out to her telling her they hope their own parents don’t get the idea to do the same thing.
Comedian. “My dad is a huge comedian in the family so when he did the pictures it was a huge laugh. The funniest reaction I get is from people my age hoping their parents don't know how to work the internet so they can't jump [on] the trend my dad has started,” said Cassie, as reported by US Weekly.

Filter. The most popular photo has definitely been the one where Burr snaps a photo of himself wearing a Snapchat “filter” that Cassie is wearing in her version of the photo. The filter places a wreath of leaves over Cassie’s head, so Burr decided to use a real plant instead.

Itchy. “While trying to do it, that branch on my head had tiny little bugs in it I wasn't aware of. So as I'm sitting there trying to take a photo, I'm wondering why I'm itching so much. It took a few minutes to finally get them all out. I guess all artists suffer for their craft,” he told US Weekly.
Others. Surprisingly, Burr isn’t the only dad who gets a kick out of making fun of his daughters. 18-year-old Kendel Divarco is a model who won a contest to get her photos taken by a professional photographer at a hotel in Las Vegas.

Conference. Her father Vince Divarco however, ironically found out that his company was sending him to a conference at the exact same hotel his daughter had done her shoot at. So seeing an opportunity, Divarco decided to recreate his daughter’s poses.

Funny. “We had been thinking how funny it would be to recreate it. We’re so serious in our everyday lives we just try to have a little fun sometimes. We’re always pulling something like that. Maybe we’ve outdone ourselves. I don’t know what we’re going to do to top that,” Vince Divarco told the Huffington Post.
Shared. Of course, Divarco never intended that the photos go viral, but as soon as Kendel shared them on Twitter, they immediately went viral. Kendel even thought her dad did a better job at modeling than she did!

Modeling. “When my parents sent me the pictures, I thought it was so funny. I was considering telling him he should start investing his time in modeling because he’s really good at it ― definitely better than I am!” said Kendel, as reported by the Huffington Post.
